Whistler Olympic Park RV & Campground is a gateway to outdoor recreation just south of Whistler. The campground provides 39 spacious campsites with full-service and un-serviced options. Guests enjoy comfortable amenities, scenic views and a unique setting in nature surrounded by the stunning beauty of evergreen forests, valleys, and mountain ranges.

Come and live the work-camping lifestyle of Park Host for a summer season in our beautiful campground.  Seasonal Full Time role is ideal for nature lovers, RV'ers, travelers or full-timers, and those wanting to spend a few months enjoying the camping vibe all summer long.

Park Host is required to reside on-site - ACCOMMODATION IS INCLUDED IF LIVING IN OUR NEWLY BUILT CARETAKER CABIN.  Prior campground work experience is an asset.

Summer season:  May 25th to October 4th, 2026

$21.50 - $24 per hour dependent on experience, plus housing options

Reliable transportation is needed (WOP is not serviced by transit).

Duties include assisting both Guest Services and Campground operations to deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring facilities, grounds and public areas are kept in a clean and aesthetically pleasing manner, visitor inquiries, guest check-in/out, issue resolution, cash handling, daily reporting and general sales/retail support. and requires the flexibility to work weekends and holidays. 

Guest Service and Campground Operations

  • Organize, confirm and process guest check-in / out and adapt for changes as required
  • Manage individual guest and group reservations efficiently
  • Operate point-of-sale systems, secure payment and complete daily cash outs
  • Provide exceptional guest service including comprehensive park information while demonstrating courtesy, helpfulness, knowledge, and effective issue resolution
  • Communicate and enforce park rules, regulations, fire and wildlife management programs
  • Respond to after-hours and overnight guest issues
  • Role is hired as an on-site and as off-site living:
    • Requirement for on-site living role is to respond to after-hours and overnight guest issues
  • Conduct routine campsite, park, and facility inspections ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards, bear and ensure adherence to wildlife management program
  • General grounds maintenance ensuring campground, park and facilities are optimum including, but not limited to, maintenance issues, grass cutting, weeding and watering
  • Deep cleaning and associated product restocking include, but not limited to, maintaining public common areas, washrooms, laundry facilities, floors, stairwells, shower rooms, windows and furniture
  • Waste and recycling sorting and removal
  • Ensure proper functioning, stocking, and replenishment of equipment and supplies for guest operations both indoor and outdoor
  • Assist operation of the retail shop providing essentials to guests
  • Communicate any item or issue to management as required
  • Uniform always required for visual identification to guests including high vis-safety wear/gear

     

Safety

  • Operate vehicles and equipment such as mowers and small tractors per instructions and in a safe manner
  • Adhere to WorkSafeBC, Technical Safety BC and applicable governing agency safety regulations
  • Assist Manager in development and enforcement of safety procedures
  • Implement the WOP fire management plan related to campfires
  • Respond to emergency situations, resolving immediate safety and/or operational concerns to ensure minimal work interruption and safe operations

 

Customer Service and Culture

  • Positive representative of Whistler Sport Legacies, both internally and externally
  • Liaise and cross-share information with WOP teams
  • Take personal accountability and responsibility for actions, and take initiative to find creative solutions to problems or issues
  • Resolve conflicts effectively and efficiently and in a professional manner
  • Champion and adhere to all WSL corporate policies and procedures
  • Carry out Whistler Sport Legacies’ AIM philosophy:  All Interactions Matter
  • Assist the team with other duties as assigned or required

 

Position Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Previous caretaker, campground, park and outdoor experience an asset
  • Satisfactory criminal record check required prior to commencing role
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required
  • Occupational First Aid Level 1 an asset
  • Foodsafe Level 1 an asset

 

Skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and organize workload in an efficient manner
  • Knowledge of computer systems such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, POS systems and booking engines
  • Passion for exceptional customer service is essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively: written and verbal
  • Capacity to work well under pressure while maintaining work performance and professionalism
  • Effective organization and time-management skills to prioritize and complete tasks on time
  • Flexible and adaptable to work efficiently in variety of settings and to work weekends and evenings
  • Proven ability to work alone as well as with a team
  • Willingness to assist other team members (at times outside the department) as needed/requested
