The Whistler Sliding Centre (WSC) is a world-class bobsleigh, skeleton and luge facility located above Whistler Village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain. Home to Olympic sport, high-performance training and public sliding experiences, WSC delivers sport programming, competitions and unforgettable guest experiences year-round.

We are currently hiring a Manager, Marketing to support marketing activity with a primary focus on the Whistler Sliding Centre, while supporting broader Whistler Sport Legacies initiatives as required. This role leads the planning, execution and evaluation of marketing, promotional and digital campaigns, helping build awareness, drive guest engagement and support revenue-generating programs and experiences.

From digital campaigns and website strategy to content, brand, media relations and analytics, this is a hands-on marketing role with the opportunity to work closely with venue operations and bring the stories, sport and experiences of an Olympic legacy facility to life. Job Overview
Position: Manager, Marketing
Department: Administration – Business Development
Status: Regular Full-Time (32 - 40 hours per week)
Schedule: Full-Time; flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends is required
Location: Whistler, BC – primarily Whistler Sliding Centre
Salary: $65,000–$72,000 annually, based on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible 

What You’ll Do

  • Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies and seasonal plans that drive awareness, guest engagement and revenue.
  • Develop targeted marketing initiatives for specific audiences, programs, products and business opportunities.
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns across website, social media, email, paid search, display, radio, print and other relevant channels.
  • Own the day-to-day management of WSL’s websites, ensuring program and operational information is accurate, current, accessible and aligned with brand standards.
  • Manage paid digital advertising, including campaign setup, audience targeting, budgets, creative coordination, optimization and reporting.
  • Track and evaluate website and campaign performance, including traffic, engagement, conversions and return on advertising spend.
  • Use analytics and customer insights to improve campaigns, targeting, website content and the overall customer journey.
  • Develop and maintain a coordinated content calendar across website, social media, email, events, promotions and seasonal priorities.
  • Apply SEO best practices to strengthen organic search performance.
  • Support email marketing, including campaign creation, audience segmentation, testing and performance analysis.
  • Manage WSL’s brand and graphic standards and coordinate the development of marketing and promotional materials.
  • Develop and edit content for websites, social media, email, advertising, brochures and other communications.
  • Coordinate photography and video shoots and create and maintain photo and video content for marketing use.
  • Coordinate media relations, press inquiries, visiting media and communications, including press releases.
  • Support on-site media hosting for national and international sport events.
  • Monitor online reviews, social media conversations, customer feedback and emerging digital trends.
  • Build strong relationships with venue teams, external agencies, vendors, tourism partners and other stakeholders.
  • Support marketing events, promotional activities and community initiatives.
  • Ensure marketing and digital content meets applicable brand, accessibility, privacy, copyright and consent requirements.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of two years of related marketing, communications and/or sport or tourism experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing website and social media content.
  • Strong knowledge of branding and traditional and digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience with digital campaign analytics, performance reporting and conversion tracking.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make data-informed recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when editing and reviewing content.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A creative, resourceful and self-directed approach to your work.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new marketing technologies and content management systems.
  • Experience with paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and Looker Studio is an asset.
  • Experience with Figma, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Experience working with print, radio or television media is an asset.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging marketing technologies is an asset.
  • A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required prior to starting employment.
