The Whistler Sliding Centre (WSC) is a world-class bobsleigh, skeleton and luge facility located above Whistler Village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain. Home to Olympic sport, high-performance training and public sliding experiences, WSC delivers sport programming, competitions and unforgettable guest experiences year-round. Guests have the opportunity to slide like an Olympian with no experience required.
We are currently hiring a Lead, Track Operations to support the safe and efficient operation of the Whistler Sliding Centre. This leadership role is responsible for supervising the Track Operations team while coordinating the maintenance, preparation, and repair of the sliding track and supporting infrastructure. You'll play an important role in delivering world-class training, competitions, and public programs in a unique Olympic sport environment.

Status: Regular Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including weekends and evenings as required
Location: Whistler, BC
Wage: $ per hour
Housing: Affordable staff housing available for Full-Time employees
Start Date: Immediately
What You'll Do
- Lead and support Track Operations staff in the safe preparation, maintenance, repair, and operation of the sliding track and supporting infrastructure.
- Coordinate daily operational activities to support athlete training, competitions, and public programs.
- Assist with track preparation, inspections, maintenance, and hazard identification to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Perform and coordinate repairs to track systems, buildings, weather protection systems, water systems, grounds, and operational equipment.
- Use hand and power tools to repair, modify, and fabricate wood, concrete, and metal components.
- Monitor track conditions and assist with operational systems including track temperature controls and shade systems.
- Support staff scheduling, onboarding, training, and performance feedback in collaboration with Track Operations leadership.
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, safety documentation, and equipment inventories.
- Promote a strong culture of workplace health and safety and support compliance with WorkSafeBC and Technical Safety BC requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments, athletes, coaches, officials, and Guest Services to support successful sport and public programming.
- Deliver exceptional service by living our AIM (All Interactions Matter) customer service philosophy.
- Assist with other operational duties as required.
What You'll Bring
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Construction, maintenance, or mechanical trades experience (carpentry, welding, refrigeration, or fabrication experience is an asset).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
- A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.
- Experience in sliding sport operations is considered an asset but is not required.
- Heavy equipment or machinery experience is an asset.
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Physical Requirements
- Work safely in a variety of weather conditions.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
