Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) is a world-class Nordic sport and recreation venue located in the beautiful Callaghan Valley, just south of Whistler. Home to Olympic legacy facilities, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, biathlon and a variety of recreational programs, WOP welcomes athletes, families, school groups and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the winter season.
We are currently hiring a Lead, Guest Services to support the day-to-day operations of our Guest Services team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, supporting a team and making sure guests have a seamless experience from the moment they arrive. You’ll help coordinate daily activities, bookings, sales and front-line operations while providing guidance and support to the Guest Services team. Please note that reliable transportation is required to successfully work at Whistler Olympic Park. Our beautiful location is not serviced by public transit.

Department: Whistler Olympic Park – Guest Services
Status: Temporary Full-Time
Housing: Affordable staff housing available for Full-Time employees
Schedule: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
Location: Whistler Olympic Park, Callaghan Valley
Wage: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience
Start Date: November 2, 2026
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the Guest Services team, helping coordinate daily activities and priorities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, with the guest experience always being the number one priority.
- Support ongoing training and help create a positive, collaborative environment for colleagues and volunteers.
- Assist guests with information, bookings, products and services including day tickets, season passes, rentals, retail products and instructional programs.
- Respond to telephone, email, online and in-person inquiries.
- Handle guest questions, concerns and complaints with empathy and a focus on finding solutions.
- Support online and in-person program bookings and schedules.
- Process transactions using the point-of-sale system and assist with daily cashier and end-of-day reconciliations.
- Help track and maintain retail and rental inventory and merchandise.
- Support the operation of the rental and retail shop as required.
- Liaise with other departments to help ensure daily venue operations run smoothly.
- Help maintain Guest Services and Day Lodge areas, including daily set-up, snow condition displays and general upkeep.
- Support special events and other operational areas when required.
- Carry out Whistler Sport Legacies’ customer service philosophy: AIM – All Interactions Matter.
What You Bring
- Previous Guest Services experience.
- Excellent in-person and telephone customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence working in a busy environment with multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain composed when things get busy.
- A positive, adaptable and can-do approach.
- Computer skills; experience with booking and scheduling software is preferred.
- Previous retail, merchandising or ski rental experience is an asset.
- Knowledge or appreciation of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, biathlon, ski jumping or sport and recreation operations is preferred.
- A willingness to support other teams and operational areas when needed.
- A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
- A genuine passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in variable winter weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 30 lbs.
- Reliable winter transportation is required, as Whistler Olympic Park is not serviced by public transit.
