Home to Olympic sport, high-performance training and public sliding experiences, WSC delivers sport programming, competitions and unforgettable guest experiences year-round. Guests have the opportunity to slide like an Olympian with no experience required.
We are currently hiring Bobsleigh Track Workers to support the safe and efficient operation of the Whistler Sliding Centre. This is a hands-on, physically active role responsible for preparing and maintaining the world’s fastest sliding track, supporting athletes and public programs, and helping deliver competitions and special events. Position: Bobsleigh Track Worker, Winter
Department: Whistler Sliding Centre – Track Operations
Status: Temporary Full-Time/Part-Time/Casual
Housing: Affordable staff housing available for Full-Time employees
Schedule: Schedule includes weekends and evenings
Location: Whistler, BC
Wage: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience
Start Date: October 21, 2026
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, repair and maintain the track sliding surface, including shoveling, sweeping, spritzing, slushing and scraping.
- Complete track clearances and identify and report safety hazards.
- Set and maintain track shading systems as required.
- Complete manual snow removal to maintain safe access throughout the venue.
- Assist with repairs and maintenance of track systems.
- Safely operate trucks and all-terrain vehicles to transport athletes, guests, sleds and equipment.
- Complete daily equipment and machine checks and required maintenance documentation.
- Support daily sport training, public programs, domestic and international competitions, and special events.
- Welcome athletes, coaches and guests and assist with registration and program delivery.
- Deliver athlete and public program orientations both indoors and trackside.
- Support public Bobsleigh and Skeleton Sport Experience programs, including participant check-in, waivers and equipment safety checks.
- Deliver program safety presentations and help move participants safely throughout the venue.
- Assist with preparing sleds, loading and unloading guests, completing final safety checks and supporting pilots at the Finish Dock.
- Follow all operational and safety procedures, including radio protocols and required PPE.
- Assist with daily venue and equipment set-up and general upkeep.

What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous guest service experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Previous manual labor experience with an eye for detail is preferred.
- Trade experience in carpentry, drywall, welding or refrigeration is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A safety-conscious mindset and commitment to the safety of guests, athletes and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and support other operational areas when required.
- Strong organizational, computer and adaptive skills.
- Knowledge of bobsleigh, skeleton, luge, high-performance sport or the Whistler Sliding Centre is an asset.
- A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required.
- A genuine passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in variable winter weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work associated with track preparation, snow removal and equipment handling.
