Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development

Since 2001, the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development has invested more than $1 billion to support sport in BC, including funding towards Whistler Sport Legacies operational start-up. The Ministry has also contributed towards World Cup and World Championship Sliding and Nordic events held at WSL venues, through applications by the host sport association.

Squamish - Lillooet Regional District

Located in southwestern BC, the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District is a local government federation delivering a range of regional, sub-regional and local services to approximately 38,000 residents living in four member municipalities (Lillooet, Pemberton, Whistler, Squamish) and four unincorporated electoral areas (A, B, C, D). The SLRD is found within the traditional territories of the Squamish, Lil'wat and St'at'imc Nations.

Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW)

Located in the Coast Mountains, 120 kilometres north of Vancouver, Whistler has a population of 13,982 permanent residents and hosts three million visitors annually. The municipality spans an area of 12,630 hectares, with about 90 per cent of the land set aside as natural area. Whistler was the Host Mountain Resort for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and has an exciting sports and cultural community supported by events, initiatives and facilities.

Legally known as the Whistler Resort Association, Tourism Whistler is the non-profit member-based marketing and sales organization representing Whistler. Callaghan Country Wilderness Adventures

Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) and neighboring Callaghan Country Wilderness Adventures have partnered to allow convenient access for skiers and snowshoers to both trail networks with a single season pass and/or day ticket. Through the partnership users get access to up to 87 km of ski and 42 km of snowshoe trails, which includes 40 km of dog-friendly Nordic ski trails.

Whistler Adaptive Sports Program

Whistler Adaptive is committed to introducing individuals with a disability to sport, recreation and therapeutic sport programming. Based in the Whistler Athletes' Centre, WASP supports sport for life by breaking down the financial, physical and social barriers as well as creating skills that will lead to future employment within sport and beyond.
