Whistler, BC: Ski Callaghan, the joint venture between Whistler Olympic Park and its neighboring Nordic ski area Callaghan Country, will extend its season by adding two bonus weekends in April!
The trail system, shared by partners Whistler Olympic Park and Callaghan Country Wilderness Adventures, will be open for skiing and snowshoeing on Saturday/Sunday, April 7 & 8 and April 14 & 15, from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Access will be through Whistler Olympic Park’s main gate, parking and main trail access will be at Porter’s Glide. About 20 kilometres of cross-country ski and close to 10 kilometres of snowshoe trails, including dog-friendly/multi-use options will be available.
All Ski Callaghan season passes are valid for these bonus dates. Guests without a season pass can access the trails at reduced day rates (cross-country skiing $20 adults/seniors and $12 youth, snowshoeing $10 adults/seniors and $5 youth, dog access $6).
Whistler Olympic Park’s Day Lodge and Callaghan Country’s base facilities and Journeyman Lodge will be closed. Rentals will not be available, so skiers will need their own gear. Portable washrooms will be available and ski patrol will be on duty. The additional weekends apply to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing only; tobogganing, biathlon and Olympic sightseeing will not be available.
For trail conditions, guests should refer to the trail conditions website, or check in with Whistler Olympic Park’s staff upon arrival. All information about the bonus weekends is available here.
