Whistler, BC – The snowfall this week has enabled Whistler Olympic Park to switch from early season skiing to regular operations, and to add more trails and activities just in time for the holiday season.
Starting Saturday, December 21, all recreational activities will be available to the public, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing and biathlon. Private and group ski lessons as well as a new snowshoe tour product will be offered. The daily shuttle from Whistler will start running on Saturday, and trail ticket and rental costs will switch from discounted early season rates to regular pricing.
Available activities & amenities starting Saturday, December 21:
- Cross country skiing: About 20 kilometres of trails for all abilities, including dog-friendly options. Group and private lessons available for all abilities.
- Snowshoeing: Trails for all abilities available, including dog-friendly options.
- New Snowshoe Tours: Daily 2-hour guided tour from 10:30am to 12:30pm ($49 Adult, $29 Youth)
- Tobogganing: Toboggan hill open, bring your own sled & helmet or borrow from rental shop (hill/equipment use free with admission to park)
- Biathlon: Group and private lessons are available.
- Day Lodge: Open daily with licensed café, rental & retail shop.
- Shuttle: Available daily starting Dec 21, morning pick-up in Whistler Village & Creekside, early afternoon return.
- Opening Hours: 9:00am to 4:30pm Mondays to Fridays; 8:30am to 4:30pm on weekends
- Wednesday Nights: First Wednesday Night will be January 1 (through to March 11, weather dependent), with discounted trail ticket/rental rates from 3:00-9:00pm.
