“Celebration Friday Nights” event series in January and February: Whistler Olympic Park to celebrate its 10-year anniversary and the Olympic season
Whistler, BC: On four Friday nights in January and February 2018, Whistler Olympic Park is inviting everyone out for an evening under the stars with friends and family! The Park is celebrating its 10th operating season and the Olympic year with the “Celebration Friday Nights”, a series of family-friendly evenings on January 12, January 19, January 26 and February 2, 2018 from 3:00 to 9:00pm. Each Friday night, participants will be able to partake in discounted beginner ski clinics, with a different skills focus each week, leading up to the big final Friday event featuring a Nordic Ski Orienteering Challenge for all abilities.
“This is a very special season operation with it being the 10th winter of skiing at Whistler Olympic Park and the Olympic Games coming up, so we want to celebrate with our guests by giving them four more opportunities to experience the magic of the Park at night to kick off their weekends. The Friday Nights are suited for all levels, but with the clinics, they will especially cater to novice skiers and families that want to improve their skills”, explains Tim Hope, Managing Director of Whistler Olympic Park.
Trail tickets and rentals for the “Celebration Friday Nights” are $10 per person (prices valid from 3:00 until 9:00pm). The beginner-friendly ski clinics are available each Friday night for ages 7 and up, clinics can be booked for $20/person/night.
