What to Expect?

Please make sure to read our Know before you Go before arriving at the Whistler Sliding Centre. After checking in at Guest Services, your Summer Bobsleigh Experience will begin with an orientation about your ride and track etiquette. After the orientation, you will go on an exclusive track walk with your guide, see the track from an athletes’ perspective, and learn about the sports and history of the Olympic legacy venue. Your team will also line up for your commemorative photo which you will obtain free of charge after the ride. After arriving at your start position, you will be fitted with a helmet. With the assistance of the track crew, you and your team – including your trained pilot – will be seated in the sled and go through the final safety checks. Listen as your team’s names will be announced on the big speakers! Once the control tower gives your sled the green light, track crew will give you a push, and it’s “bobsleigh in track” for you, your pilot, and your fellow participants! As you will accelerate down the track, lean into the corners to assist your steering pilot in reaching top speeds of up to 90 km/hr in the final corner. The uphill outrun will slow you to a stop, and the track crew will assist you to exit the sled. High five with your pilot and crew, then review the video of your ride!

A point of view camera from your pilot's helmet will record your ride down. A second camera on the sled captures facial expressions! Purchase your personal video from Guest Services after your ride.

You will be able to download your FREE activity/certificate photo from our online database! Feel free to share them with your friends and family, follow us on Facebook and Instagram, or leave a review on Tripadvisor!
