Skeleton Progression Camps
Youth and adults aged 14 and up, who have successfully completed a Novice Skeleton program (or equivalent) can participate in the Skeleton Progression Camps. Target group for these programs are all levels, from novice sliders to high-level development athletes who are working towards moving into Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton national programs. The program focuses on a systematic approach to maximize athlete potential and provides a framework to assist athletes as they move up the development pathway.
Multiple 5-day intensive training camps are run from late October to late March. Athletes can participate in one, multiple or all camps in the season. The full-day camps include on-ice and off-ice coaching, strength & conditioning sessions and equipment education. This comprehensive program ensures athlete safety, skill development and enjoyment of the sport, lead by experienced coaches (read more about our coaches here). Camp participants have the option to participate in provincial and national competitions held throughout the winter season.
International athletes who are interested in sliding on the Whistler track may be able to join pending approval by the camp coach.
