Skeleton athlete in track at Whistler Sliding Centre

Skeleton Progression Camps

The Skeleton Progression Camps are open to youth and adults (ages 14+) who have successfully completed a Skeleton Foundation School (or an equivalent). All skill levels, from beginner sliders to high-level development athletes aiming to join Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton national programs, are the target audience. The program emphasizes a methodical strategy to maximize athletes' potential and offers a framework to help athletes as they advance along the development pathway.

From late October to late March, a number of 5- and 12-day intensive training camps are offered. Athletes have the option to take part in one, many, or all camps during the season. Strength and conditioning workouts, equipment instruction and coaching on and off the ice are all included in the full-day camps. Under the direction of skilled coaches (learn more about them here), this extensive program ensures athlete safety, skill improvement and enjoyment of the sport. The option to compete in regional and national events held throughout the winter is available to participants.

These camps are open to any international athletes interested in sliding on the Whistler track.
