Skeleton athlete in track at Whistler Sliding Centre

Seasonal Skeleton Program

Youth and adults ages 14 and up who have successfully completed a Skeleton School (or equivalent) can participate in this seasonal program. Target group for this program stream are recreational participants who are active for life, or former high performance participants who are no longer training to be competitive sliders but still enjoy competing regularly. Athletes who want to move into a more high-level development program to pursue the competitive pathway can join the Seasonal High Performance Skeleton Program.

Skeleton training sessions generally run three to five times a week, from mid-November to late March. In-session coaching support is offered to ensure athlete safety, skill development and enjoyment of the sport. Athletes who want to scratch their competitive itch can sign-up for local/provincial competitions held throughout the winter season.

International athletes who are interested in sliding on the Whistler track may be able to join pending approval by the Head Coach, Skeleton.
