Bobsleigh in Track at Whistler Sliding Centre

Bobsleigh Progression Camps

Youth and adults ages 16 and up who have successfully completed a Bobsleigh Foundation School (or equivalent), or those who want to progress as brakemen can participate in the Bobsleigh Progression Camps. Target group for this program stream are all levels, from novice sliders to high-level development athletes who are working towards moving into Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton national programs. The program focuses on a systematic approach to maximize athlete potential and provides a framework to assist athletes as they move up the development pathway.

Several multi-day intensive training camps run from November to late March. Athletes can participate in one, multiple or all camps in the season. Recreational participants can join single days of camps (pre-registration required). The full-day camps include on-ice and off-ice coaching, strength & conditioning sessions and equipment education. This comprehensive program ensures athlete safety, skill development and enjoyment of the sport, lead by experienced coaches (read more about our coaches here). Camp participants have the option to participate in provincial and national competitions held throughout the winter season.

Athletes can also participate in weekly bobsleigh training sessions (information and pricing below).

International athletes who are interested in sliding on the Whistler track may be able to join pending approval by the camp coach.
