Track Schedule

BMW IBSF World Cup Bob & Skeleton

Nov 20-26, 2022

From November 20 to 26, we have the BMW IBSF World Cup on track, featuring the world’s best bobsleigh and skeleton athletes!

Spectating the races and training sessions is FREE for the whole week! Sunday through Wednesday are training days, race days are Thursday through Saturday (track closed Sunday). 

It is encouraged that guests take the free #7 BC Transit bus to Blackcomb staff housing or the Excalibur Gondola (free for pedestrians without ski gear) to mid-station, and walk about 10 minutes to the venue from there. Limited parking is available in WB lots 7 & 8 across from the venue. There will only be limited spectator services available, our Guest Services building with washrooms is open, snacks/hot drinks can be purchased as well.

Race days are November 24-26:
  • Thu (Nov 24), 10:30am to 12:30pm: Men’s Skeleton
  • Thu (Nov 24), 2:30 to 4:30pm: Women’s Skeleton
  • Fri (Nov 25), 10:00am - 12:00pm: Women’s Monobob
  • Fri (Nov 25), 2:30 – 4:30pm: 2-Man Bobsleigh
  • Sat (Nov 26), 10:00am - 12:00pm: 2-Woman Bobsleigh
  • Sat (Nov 26), 2:30 – 4:30pm: 4-Man Bobsleigh

Spectating & sIGHTSEEING


Public access for spectating & sightseeing is free during scheduled sliding times (see schedule above)! Access to the Guest Services building with washrooms and a small shop with snacks and merchandise is available from 9:00am to 6:30pm on sliding days.

About us

Located above Whistler Village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain, the Whistler Sliding Centre is a world-class bobsleigh, skeleton and luge facility.

Public visitors can try Whistler's most unique activities, passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and public skeleton (winter). Aspiring athletes can join "Learn to Slide" programming for all skill levels in bobsleigh, skeleton and luge within the BC Sliding Development Centre. The facility is also a National Training Centre and popular training and competition venue for athletes from all over the world. Each year, races for all levels from beginners to the elite of sliding athletes, such as World Cups and World Championships are held on the Olympic legacy venue. Year-round, Olympic Sightseeing is available free of charge through a self-guided interpretive tour.

The Whistler Sliding Centre is a non-profit organization, and all proceeds from public programs go directly towards growing sport and supporting bobsleigh, skeleton and luge athletes!

Passenger Bobsleigh

Slide like an Olympian, no experience required! Ride through ten twists and turns at speeds of 125+ km/hr in a real bobsleigh, driven by a trained pilot, on the only active sliding track in Canada. Available from mid December to mid April.

Public Skeleton

Ride solo on your own skeleton sled, no experience required! You will slide through six corners and clock speeds up to 100 km/hr. Don’t worry that your run might be over too fast, you get to go twice! Available from December to late March.

Summer Bobsleigh

Ride a bobsleigh equipped with wheels, driven by a trained pilot, to reach speeds of up to 90km/hr. No experience required! Youth 12-18 years slide FREE. Available again in summer 2023.
