Cross country ski and snowshoe rentals

Ski & Snowshoe Rentals

Classic and skate skis, snowshoes, chariots & more!

Our rental shop in the Day Lodge provides you with everything you need for a great Nordic snow day, from classic or skate ski equipment to snowshoes! We also offer chariot child carriers for skiing. Daily or full-season rentals are available.

Daily Rental Pricing 2022/23

Our daily rental packages provide you with everything you need to enjoy a day of cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.

A cross-country ski package includes skis, poles and boots. Choose from classic (where you ski in set tracks - best for first-timers!) or skate skiing (where you ski ‘free’/not in tracks), or change it up during the day. You can also switch to snowshoes for no additional cost!

A pair of snowshoes will have you out exploring on our picturesque, snowy trails. All you need is some warm, waterproof shoes. Overboots (for extra waterproofing) and poles are also available for rent.

We highly recommend booking your rentals ahead of time online. Not only will you receive a discount on your package compared to walk-in pricing, but you'll also be able to hit the trails faster!

NOV 25 OPENING DAY UPDATE: Snowshoeing is currently UNAVAILABLE due to snow conditions. Please check our conditions page for updates.

Full Season Rental FAQs

how do full season rentals work?

A full season rental is a great option for those who require rentals throughout the winter season. Guests can switch between classic, skate or snowshoes at any time for no additional cost. Once a pass is purchased, guests can reserve their equipment ahead of time online (not available on the same day) and pick up their rentals from outside the Rental Shop in the designated area. All rental equipment must be returned each day (4:00 pm for weekdays/weekends, 8:30 pm for applicable Wednesday Nights). Fees may apply for late returns.

Can I take my full season rental equipment home during the season?

No. All equipment must remain on-site and be returned to the Rental Shop each day (4:00 pm for weekdays/weekends, 8:30 pm for applicable Wednesday Nights). Fees may apply for late returns.

How do I reserve my Full Season Rental equipment ahead of time?

After purchasing a Full Season Rental, you will receive a unique gift code for the 2022/23 season from our Guest Services team. If you have purchased a Full Season Rental and have not received yours, please contact us at info@whistlerolympicpark.com.

For your first visit of the season, you will be required to visit the Rental Shop to have your sizing confirmed. After this, reservations can be made easily online throughout the season. Please note that reservations close at midnight for the following day. If you require rentals and haven’t made a reservation before this deadline, simply visit the Rental Shop on the day and staff will assist you to collect your equipment. If you have multiple family members with a Full Season Rental, each online reservation made using the process below must be completed in a separate transaction.

  1. Navigate to the Full Season Reservation package in our online store (Rentals > Full Season Rentals > Full Season Rental Reservation). You can also access it directly by clicking here.
  2. Select the equipment type you would like to reserve (Classic, Skate or Snowshoe) and click 'next'.
  3. You will be prompted to add in your unique gift code. Click 'next' and then select the date you require rentals from the calendar.
  4. You will be prompted to log in to your online account.
  5. Under "Pass information", click on the drop down and select the guest who the reservation is for. Please make sure that the sizing information is up-to-date. If you are reserving rentals for dependents with Full Season Rentals, you can have access to their guest profiles by having them linked to your account (contact Guest Services to request this).
  6. Follow the steps to check out. Once confirmed, our staff will collect your equipment for the day and place it outside the Rental Shop in our Full Season Rental area (located next to returns) ready for collection at your convenience. If you need to swap equipment on the day, please see our Rental Shop staff to arrange.

If you experience any issues completing this reservation process, please contact our friendly Guest Services team for assistance by calling 604-964-0059 during operating hours.

Where do I collect my reserved equipment from?

Your reserved equipment will be available for pick-up at any time on your reservation date from outside the exit door of the Whistler Olympic Park Rental Shop (located downstairs in the Day Lodge). If you do not see your equipment in this area, please speak to one of our staff for assistance. Equipment needs to be returned to the same area each day (4:00 pm for weekdays/weekends, 8:30 pm for applicable Wednesday Nights).

Can I switch my equipment during the day?

Yes! Guests with full season rentals can switch between classic, skate or snowshoes at any time for no additional cost. Please visit the Rental Shop and speak to a staff member for assistance if you wish to switch up equipment during the day.
