Operational Updates for Winter 2021/22

We ask all our guests to read our latest operational updates below regularly to prepare for your visit. Operations and services may be modified through winter.

We are getting ready to open for the season on Friday, November 26, 2021 (projected closing day April 3, 2022), and are excited to welcome back our season pass holders, community and visitors! 

We are looking forward to a fun and busy season on snow, including the return of sport events with many regional/provincial races, and even international events such as the FIS Continental Cup Ski Jumping & Nordic Combined and Nordiq Canada National Championships in March 2022!

Plan your Visit!

We are still navigating through the pandemic, and continue to face regulatory and operational challenges including staff shortages. While we will be doing our best to offer you the best experience during your visit, operations and services will have to be modified as needed through the season. 

During early season 2021/22, please expect the following:

Trail Access

  • Cross country ski and snowshoe trails will be available 7 days a week!
  • Check for current conditions and grooming status here

Guest Service DESK

  • Open 7 days a week
  • Located on the upper level of Whistler Olympic Park's Day Lodge, service from outside through window/towards P3

Rental Shop

  • Monday to Wednesday: Not available (exemptions for lessons & school groups)
  • Thursday to Sunday: Open
  • Located on the ground floor of Whistler Olympic Park's Day Lodge

  • Private lessons (cross country skiing and biathlon) available 7 days a week
  • Experience Biathlon lessons available 7 days a week

cafe & Seating Area

  • Monday to Wednesday: Closed, no food service & no seating available
  • Thursday to Sunday: Open/food service available from 10:00am to 2:00pm
  • Proof of vaccination is required for sit-down dining, according to the current PHO order
  • Located on the top floor of Whistler Olympic Park's Day Lodge

Retail Shop

  • Monday to Wednesday: Closed
  • Thursday to Sunday: Open
  • Located on the top floor of Whistler Olympic Park's Day Lodge

Covid-19 Response

The well-being of our guests, athletes, staff and community is our biggest priority. We are committed to help prevent the spread of communicable diseases such as COVID-19, and continue to follow the latest federal & provincial policies & recommendations.

  • We strongly encourage all visitors to understand and follow BC's current Provincial Health Orders and recommendations
  • Please do not visit our venue if you: 
    • Are feeling unwell/experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19
    • Have been directed by any authority to self-isolate
  • Proof of vaccination is not required for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and the other outdoor activities. However, it is required for dining at the Day Lodge Cafe.
  • Masks are required in all public indoor settings for all people born in 2016 or earlier (5+).
  • Handwashing and sanitation stations are available on the venue
  • Operations may be modified in adherence to current health & safety policies & recommendations.
