10th Anniversary - Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games 2010

It's been ten years since the Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games 2010!

Whistler Sport Legacies will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Games with a three-day activation at Whistler Olympic Park over Family Day weekend, February 15-17, 2020. Saturday, February 15 will be the main activation day, featuring free access for 2010 Games volunteers, the opportunity to try Olympic sports, watch sport demonstrations or to meet an Olympic mascot!

With that, we want to thank the community for contributing to the ongoing success of Whistler’s three Olympic legacy venues, Whistler Olympic Park, the Whistler Sliding Centre and the Whistler Athletes’ Centre, and for the support of us as a non-profit organisation. Whistler Sport Legacies took over the venues from VANOC after the conclusion of the Games in 2010.

"We want to invite our community to enjoy the legacy venues.  Every day, the spirit of the Games lives on in our team. We introduce our sports to all ages and see locals and visitors enjoy themselves on the snow and ice and get inspired. We grow athletes and see our local “legacy babies” succeed and become the next generation of Olympians. Our mission is to Grow Sport, and we could not do what we do without the daily support of the Sea to Sky community, our guests, volunteers, clubs and partners."
