Located just above Whistler Village, on the southeast slope of Blackcomb Mountain, the venue offers spectacular mountain and valley views in a truly unique setting. The Top Start House sits at the very top of the sliding track overlooking the valley below. It provides various setup options for small and large size events with accessible areas. Spectacular ceremony sites, ample parking for your guests and space to accommodate additional event tents and facilities is available directly adjacent to the Top Start House. The beautiful backdrop for your special moment!

Upper Deck

The Upper Deck has a guest capacity of 150 seated and 180 reception style. This 656 sqft wooden deck space is fully covered with an outdoor feel, showcasing beautiful sunsets and panoramic mountain and Whistler Village views.

Lower Deck

The Lower Deck has a guest capacity of 300 seated and 450 reception style. This 2,821 sqft space is ideal for setting up large event tents or guest entertainment, such as axe throwing, stage performances and bands.

Indoor Space

The Indoor Space has a guest capacity of 80 seated and 100 reception style. This space can be staged for an intermission cocktail hour, dinner location or dance floor, bridal party prep space or your caterer’s base camp.

Things to Note

Food & Beverages and Alcohol Licensing

You are free to work with the food & beverage service of your choice. All caterers have to adhere to strict garbage & wildlife safety regulations, as the venue is located in bear country. If you do not have a caterer in mind yet, we will gladly make a recommendation and share our local contacts with you to make your reception one to remember.

Since this venue is not permanently licensed, you will have the option to run your own bar with your own Special Event Permit alcohol license in place. All bartenders must have their Serving it Right and follow BC’s responsible liquor service regulations.

Furniture & Décor

The Top Start house is rented as a shell and all tables, chairs and decor are to be arranged via a third party of your choice. Don’t have anyone in mind? You can easily select a rental company from our list of preferred vendors. Most have worked with us on a variety of events and weddings, and will provide you with recommendations and expertise on layouts, décor and logistics.

Sound System

Ask us for options for sound systems to create the perfect celebration atmosphere.

Location & Transportation

The venue is located just above Whistler Village on the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain (get directions). Despite the venue being in close proximity to Whistler Village, we always recommend arranging for shuttles for your guests to make the arrival and departure seamless and safe. There are a few companies in town we recommend arranging your transportation with. Please contact us to request our list of preferred vendors.

How do I book?

  1. Send us an inquiry with your preferred date, guest count and any questions you may have regarding our venues, either through email or our Booking Request Form.
  2. Our sales team will send you our wedding flat sheets and answer your questions.
  3. We will set up a site visit to view the venues.
  4. If you would like to book one of our venues, our sales team will draw up a contract for your review and signature. We do require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking. The remainder is collected 30 days prior to your wedding day.
  5. We do require a $1,000 refundable damage deposit due two weeks prior to the wedding. This is usually refunded between 24-72 hours after the event minus any damages.
