Systems Administrator
Systems Administrator, reporting to the Manager Information Technology, is responsible for the day-to-day function of information technology services at Whistler Sport Legacies including our venues: Whistler Olympic Park, Whistler Athletes’ Centre, and Whistler Sliding Centre.
Responsibilities include: working collaboratively with management and colleagues, ensuring best practice processes are maintained while promoting the efficient and effective delivery of IT services, financial systems, and the delivery of technology that meets the needs of colleagues, athletes, partners, and guests. Regular Full Time position requires working extended hours and weekends during key WSL initiatives. Must have valid Canadian work permit.

Responsibilities
Information Technology
- Contribute to the overall objectives of WSL
- Work collaboratively with management team to ensure the venue’s seasonal/event needs are met based upon a work plan and timeline
- Provide maintenance of the corporate telecommunications, networks, and core information systems including routine hardware maintenance in a timely manner as required
- Champion and adhere to WSL corporate policies and procedures and contribute to their development
- Foster a strong culture of health & safety; work with Human Resources and Safety to ensure all WorkSafeBC and Technical Safety BC requirements are met
- Support venues and events by responding to requests for assistance with software, hardware, network or peripheral devices within appropriate timelines
- Maintain and support virtual environment including storage, servers and related hardware
- Manage and upgrade enterprise network equipment and WIFI across 3 venues, to maintain 99% uptime
- Provide day-to-day technical and support assistance to all on-site or remote users for software, hardware, network or peripheral device assistance
- Manage active directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, IIS
- Maintenance and support of Microsoft 365 and related technologies in a hybrid environment
- Monitor, service, troubleshoot, and repair all computers as directed on a daily and regular basis
- Perform all duties in a confidential manner
- Work collaboratively with all WSL departments and venues
- Support alignment and achievement of WSL’s vision, mission and goals
- Flexible to assist the team and WSL departments with other activities, duties or initiatives as assigned or required

Position Requirements
Education/Experience
- 3+ years relevant experience in a similar role required
- Relevant post-secondary education required
- Previous experience managing Windows in a Domain environment required
- Valid BC driver’s license and usage of personal vehicle required
- Experience with maintenance and support of enterprise firewalls, routers, switches and wireless access points
- Experience maintaining and supporting a virtual environment
- Knowledge of backup solutions and current trends
- VOIP phone systems experience
- Knowledge of current trends for information systems and implementation methodologies
- Management and maintenance of Microsoft SQL, point of sale and hotel management systems an asset

- May be required to work outside in the elements for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 25Kgs without assistance
