Stocking Stuffers from Whistler Sport Legacies: Find great Gifts and Support Sport at the same time

Whistler, BC:  Contrary to common belief, perfume, scarfs and socks are not exciting gifts. Whistler Sport Legacies offers various stocking stuffer alternatives for activities at Whistler Olympic Park, the Whistler Sliding Centre, and the Whistler Athletes’ Centre.

Those who are looking for extraordinary gifts can, for example, purchase a voucher for a thrilling bobsleigh or skeleton ride at the Whistler Sliding Centre (recipients can choose the date of the  ride afterwards, certain age and physical restrictions apply for participants). A great gift for kids that want to trade snow for ice sliding are the introductory luge or skeleton ‘Discover’ sessions offered at the Whistler Sliding Centre throughout the season.

Whistler Olympic Park sells gift cards ($50, $75 or $100) which can be redeemed for various services such as lessons, ski or snowshoe rentals, trail tickets, or retail items. For children that do not need another pyjama set, one of Whistler Olympic Park’s Nordic programs or camps is an ideal gift idea, for example, multi-sport camps for young beginners (7-12 years), or ski jumping clinics for intermediate to advanced skiers (8-14 years).

Fitness addicts, or those who enjoyed too much turkey over the holidays will be thankful about a workout voucher for the ‘Performance Hub’ at the Whistler Athletes’ Centre, a new multi-purpose gym offering fitness classes Mondays to Fridays. Drop-in passes are available for single sessions ($15) or as a 10-pack ($100). The 2016 class schedule will start on January 4.

The proceeds from the purchase of any one of these gifts goes towards a worthwhile cause: revenue generated by the not-for-profit organization Whistler Sport Legacies and its venues goes towards initiatives and programs to grow sport in the Sea to Sky corridor.

Vouchers and gift cards for all venues and activities are available online or by phone at 604-964-0040.
