Access / Opening Hours / Contacts:
Sightseeing access to the Whistler Sliding Centre's public areas daily from 9am until 5pm (except public holidays), click here for full opening hours. Site access is not permitted outside these hours. Whether you are visiting in the summer or winter, there is no entrance fee during non-event times to access the Whistler Sliding Centre. There are eight information panels in the public areas with information about the history and operation of the Whistler Sliding Centre, our sports and the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Pick up a map from the sign at the entrance to the venue or at Guest Services and find out where you can stand on the Olympic podium, take a photo in an Olympic sled and walk around Thunderbird Corner to the finish dock. Please be aware that areas around the track can be steep and slippery, so appropriate footwear is advised, and keep an eye out for bears in summer. Dogs must be on leash at all times.

Try Bobsleigh, Skeleton or Summer Bobsleigh and help our athletes!
While you are at the Whistler Sliding Centre, try Bobsleigh, Skeleton (winter months, December until March) or Summer Bobsleigh (June/July until September)! With your participation in our public programs you will not only experience a unique adrenaline rush, but you will also help our sliding athletes, because the revenue generated through public sliding goes directly to the sport and helps keeping training costs for athletes low. All public programs run rain, snow or shine, so it’s the perfect addition to your time in Whistler!
Wildlife/Bear Aware & Safety:
Do not disturb wildlife, stay away if you encounter a bear & DO NOT FEED Wildlife! Read more important information on wildlife/bear interactions at the Sliding Centre and general safety advise here.
