Job Location: Whistler Athletes Centre

The Whistler Athletes’ Centre is a high performance training and accommodation facility for all levels of sport, educational groups, and art & culture organizations. Built for the athletes of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, competitors continue to utilize the Whistler Athletes’ Centre for short-and long-term lodging and dryland conditioning. As the headquarters for the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program, and the Whistler Campus for the Canadian Sport Institute-Pacific, no other venue provides the level of accessibility and amenities for athletes like the Whistler Athletes’ Centre.
The Lodge Attendant is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness at the Whistler Athletes’ Centre including the Lodge, Townhomes and High Performance Centre. This role is organized and friendly and works well within a team while demonstrating the Whistler Sport Legacies’ philosophy that All Interactions Matter (AIM).  Casual, Temporary Part Time and Full Time positions require flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

The Rental Services Tech delivers optimum service and technical excellence to guests at Whistler Olympic Park.  This role assists guests in ski-fitting, product, and/or service expertise including selection that most appropriately meets their needs.  In addition, the customer service portion of this role endeavors to maximize sales by facilitating sales promotion to drive business by targeting WSL products, and improving customer feedback.  This is a seasonal full time role and requires ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world. Since hosting the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge competitions during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Whistler Sliding Centre continues to challenge the sports’ most elite athletes with international competitions, recruiting camps, and ongoing youth programs. Visitors are invited to tour the state-of-the-art facility, or experience the action first-hand with passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and skeleton rides (winter only) down part of the 1,450 meter-long ice track.
Under the direction of the Manager, Track Operations this position provides custodial services for the Whistler Sliding Centre. Duties include: cleaning and maintenance of facility buildings including washrooms, offices, staff, and athlete areas. This is a seasonal full time role and requires ability to work weekends and evenings. 

Job Location: Whistler Athletes Centre

The IT Department is part of WSL’s administration team which works closely with all venues to assist in delivering the day-to-day function of information technology services at Whistler Sport Legacies including Whistler Olympic Park, Whistler Athletes’ Centre, and Whistler Sliding Centre.  The Specialist, Information Technology is responsible for the day-to-day function of information technology services at Whistler Sport Legacies including Whistler Olympic Park, Whistler Athletes’ Centre, and Whistler Sliding Centre. Reporting to Manager, Information Technology this role works collaboratively with management and staff to ensure best practice processes are applied ensuring efficient and effective delivery of IT services, and positions WSL to meet the technology needs of staff, athletes, partners, and guests.  This Regular Full Time position is required to work extended hours and weekends during key WSL initiatives, and works out of Whistler Athletes' Centre as a home base.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Operations and Safety this role leads the Ski Patrol Department ensuring the safety of all users of Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) and responds to all first aid requirements in a professional and timely manner.  This is a seasonal full time role and requires ability to work weekends and evenings.

The Snowshoe Guide/Shuttle Bus Driver is the first point of contact with the Whistler Olympic Park guest and ensures an optimum experience while adhering to guest safety and quality.  Responsibilities include interpretive snowshoe tours of 1 to 2 hours in length, safe pick-up and delivery of guests between their lodging and WOP, and is cross-trained in all aspects of the department.  This is a full time seasonal role and requires availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

This position involves the general site maintenance of the Whistler Olympic Park. Duties include but are not limited to manual snow clearing, trail maintenance, ski jump preparation, and assisting ski patrol in their activities. Casual and Full Time seasonal roles require flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

The Guest Activity Rep is the first point of contact with the Whistler Olympic Park guest. This role provides excellent customer service to guests while assisting in their selection of product or service that most appropriately meets their needs. In addition, they will endeavor to maximize sales by facilitating the promotion, sales, and booking of sport school instructional programs and drive business by targeting WSL products. The Guest Activity Rep will be cross-trained in all guest serviced areas including retail and rental. Seasonal full time roles require ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Supervisor, Ski Patrol and Safety takes the lead in fulfilling Whistler Sport Legacies’ commitment to a superior standard of safety at Whistler Olympic Park.  Responsibilities include organizing the Whistler Olympic Park ski patrol department to ensure safety and incidence response for all users and compliance with all relevant legislation.  This is an evolving position and responsibilities may shift over time.  This Regular Full Time position will require flexibility to assist the team with other activities or initiatives and may require weekend or evening schedules.

The Refrigeration Operator is part of a dedicated team responsible for the operation and maintenance of Whistler Sliding Centre’s Ammonia Refrigeration Plant and Whistler Sliding Centre facilities.  Working with the Refrigeration plant, Facility Operations, Track operations and the Guest services departments, the Refrigeration Operator is part of a team that provides  a world class training and competition venue.  This is a seasonal role with varied shifts, including flexibility to work weekends and evenings/nights.

Bobsleigh Pilot is a skilled position that takes groups of guests down the track in a four person bobsleigh at the Whistler Sliding Centre.  Reporting to the Manager, Guest Services this role adheres to established track safety protocols.  This role requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

The Sport Coach delivers coaching, instructional and educational programs to guests of Whistler Olympic Park (WOP).  Reporting to the Supervisor, Sport School duties include excellent customer service and assisting clients in selection of products or services that most appropriately meet their needs.  Seasonal casual roles requiring the flexibility to assist the team with other activities or initiatives including the ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

The Snow Clearing Operator maintains all roads and parking lot facilities throughout Whistler Olympic Park using heavy equipment and plow trucks.  Seasonal casual and full time roles require ability to work weekends and evenings.

The Track Worker executes the safe and efficient operation of the Bobsleigh, Skeleton and Luge Track at Whistler Sliding Centre.  Under the direction of the Senior Supervisor, Track Operations / Supervisor, Track Operations, this role is responsible for all preparation, repairs and maintenance of the track.  Seasonal casual/part time/full time positions require flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
